NEW PREMIER’S VIEWS,
LONDON, June 12
In an interview with the Paris correspondent of the “Daily Express,” M. Herriot, the Premier elect, said:— We are assuming a gigantic task. The stitches have come out of everything. I have a list of my colleagues in my pocket. None of them are Socialists. I oat, however, does not mean that there is the slightest divergence between my Party and M. Blunt’s. The Socialists have promised me support. My attitude towards Britain is to associate myself with the British Government in order to put in hand the immediate application of the Experts’ report on reparations. So far as Germany is concerned, we favour drawing closer together. We shall do our best to bring about stable relations with her. « PARIS, June 11 Al. Herriot will announce his Cabinet immediately a new President is elected. He will adjourn Parliament after a very brief debate to enable him to get into contact with the Allies. He hopes to go to London to see Air MacDonah! at the beginning of next week.

Poincare becoming Leader of the Senate.
