Hundreds of persons alllifted with physical and mental ailments besieged St. Paul’s Chapel, where, during the last 21 hours. Rev Robert Bell, an Episcopalian minister from Denver. Colorado, effected miraculous cures by laying on of hands.

The crowd, after watching clippies approach for treatment, and exultingly throw awav their crutches, waxed high ly emotional, and surged lorward in the chancel.

Women betaine hysterical, many fainting at the eviilental miraculous

powers. Rev Hell, however, calmly continued his treatments, while the vicar summoiu'il n.*sc.M*vo>>, to prevent i\ riot.

The patients included Catholics, Protestants, Jews, and Athiests, all of whom exposed tlie afllieted organ, whereupon Rev Bell made the sign ol the cross, invoking Divine love to make the body whole. In some eases, there was no response to the treatment, hut the awestruck audience noted that deafness was almost unfailingly cured. Several paralytics likewise regained their powers.

The most' remarkable cure was tlie ease of a girl four years old. whose weak hones were never able to support her. Rev Bell placed his hands upon her limbs, and thereafter the child began a tranee-like walk down the aisle to the outer steps, where she smilingly posed for the photographers. Rev Hell disclaims all personal attributes, saying: “1 have no power whatever. It is simply Clod, whoso love acts through me.”
