Their Majesties, the Prince of Wales and other Royalties were present. After a false start, the field got fairly well away. Dawson City led to tin- mile post where Sansoviano, ridden by Weston, began to improve his position and joined the leader. Descending the hill, Dawson shortly after cried enough and Sansovino entered the straight well clear of St Germain, ridden by Bullock. Ilurstwood was ridden by Smyth. Sansoviua steadily increased his lead and won easily. Parmenio was fourth. Polyphonies fifth.
