MINISTER'S REPORT
WELLINGTON. June 3
It is probable that the report of the .Minister of Railways, which has been prepared as a result ol the comprehensive visits of inspection made hv the Minister to various lines throughout the Dominion, will he made available lor publication shortly. The purpose of this special repo t is to show that in the Minister's opinion there should lie lines along which development should proceed ill lullin', with special reference to the order ol urgency in which lug ("instruction should he carried out. The technical proposals contained ui the report are now being subjected to analysis by officers of the Railway Department.

The actual .strike itself, and matters pertaining to the railways, will he teeciving exhaustive attention this year as in addition to the Ministers report, working conditions in the servo - are to he reviewed hv the Arbitration Court oh a date yet to he fixed. The annual Railways Statement will bo presented to Parliament in the ordinary course of events, and will gi'e members of the l.ogish no opportuitv of expressing their news. Last, hut not least, will come the Koval Cotnmis-ion of British railway experts, which D n> iev.-ligate the New Zealand svstem. after finishing a similar inquiry in New South Wales.
