Another of the pnpuliir William Fox productions entitled ''A Fool There Was” will he the special attraction at the Princess Theatre to-night, 1 tile screen version i.s founded on the famous poem hy Kipling “The Vampire.” It has been called a screen sensation hy millions of theatre-goers in London. Paris, Sydney and Melbourne, ft is a stirring, scintillating story of start-ling-surpri.-os. The spark-pin*; of liiehpowered .drama.. The story of a woman who lived to love and a fool who loved and died. It is the reverse story of a poor, silly, helpless girl, who is ensured hy a wicked man. It is the drama of the male fool who is tricked, hypnotised, trapped and cleaned up hy a designing, eold-hlooded siren for whom ho sacrifices business, 'family, and honour. An extra special supporting programme, including Al St. John in a great comedy “Voting and Dumb.'' will also he shown and the orchestra will play the incidental music. Usual prices will he charged.

McLean's Pictures present on Friday evening a comedy spiced drama “’Woman. Wake up,” starring Florence Vidor as Anne, which was previously announced for last week. The story shows, how married after a very brief courtship, Monte finds Anne too domesticated for his gay tastes, and she finds him too frivolously inclined for her simple tastes. She knows that she cannot entirely adapt him to her ways of life, and she docs not want to adapt to his. She thinks there should he a meeting ground at a happy medium. So she learns to dame the modern steps, dresses ravishingly. frequents gay cabarets and goes twosing with her husband’s best friend, I ferny Mortimer. She overdoes it so as to awake Monte. Monte gets fiendishly jealous and finally decides that his u, e is more charming as her natural home-loving self than when imit iting some of his gay friends. Further chapters of the serial “The Timber Queen.” a comedy and Gazette complete a very fine programme.
