Air John Wheatley (Minister of Health) in moving the financial resolution covering the Government’s housing policy, stated that they aimed at producing two and a half million houses in a period of fifteen years beginning with ninety thousand in 1025 and rising to 225.000 in 103-1. of which two thirds of the total would he in brick. An agreement has been reached with the building industry whereby prices fixed will be those prevailing in 102-1 and steps are to be taken to prevent profiteering.
