DAMAGES CLAIM. NEW YOBK. May 20. At l.os Angeles. Ylaiv Tenney lias filed a suit for damages of 2C.O.QfiO Holla rs against Jack Kearns, the manager for Jack Dempsey, alleging criminal assault. The complaint alleges the plaintiff was overcome by force, and the use of narcotic and dings. Mrs Tenney is a motion picture actress, known as Frances Mary Smernoti. Some time ago the District Attorney's Office, investigated the woman's charges against Kearns, and refused to issue a complaint against him on the ground of insufficient evidence.
