Td-NICMT LOCAL BENEFIT. At illy Princess Theatre to-night .McLean’s Pictures tender one ot their generous heiielits to a popular local institution tile Hokitika Beautifying Society. At the Theatre Royal, at the conclusion of a performance one evening the audience wore asked to remain in their seats, while the cinematographer took some shots for a new film. Hugh L. AA right in Ids character took the stage, sang a song, told some stories in the approved low comedian manner. Meanwhile shots were being taken from ibo wings, gallery and circle. The orchestra, too. entered fully into the spirit. The motif of tlie story is that love answers the riddle of life and nothing else matters. There is a line supporting programme, and as the object ofJ.bc licne. lit will appeal to all townspeople there should lie a record attendance. The usual prices will he charged, and a good musical programme will lie supplied. Early attendance is advisable to secure seating accommodation.
