The absence of Mr Hownt was npoloßised for. The minutes were confirmed and outward correspondence approved: FIXTURES FOR SATURDAY. SENIORS. Kokatahi v. Harihari, at Hurihari. Excelsiors v. Kiwis, Cass Square, at 3 p.m. JUNIORS. Kiwis v. ltuutapu, at Ruatapu, 3 p.in.—Mr S. Moore. Excelsiors v. l’os*, at Hokitika, at 3 p.m.—Air \V. A. AA’ilson. Arahnra v. Harihari, at Aralmra, at 3 p.m.—Mr Mac AA’allnee. Kokatahi v. Ilium, at Kokatahi, at 1.30 p.m.. Air Conning. THIRD GRADE.
Kiwi A v. School. J N AYA R D COR RES PONDENCK. The Referees reports were road and considered satisfactory. The Excelsior Club entered a protest against tlie school team for playing Taiuui and' Pierson, one having played for Aralmra and the other for Kiwi. —Received and protest upheld. From V. Pierson, applying for transfer from Kiwi to School.—Received and request refused. In connection with the alteration of the ljioiindnry of tlio Sub-Union it was resolved that it protest he made to the AA'cst Coast 'Rugby Union against tlie proposed boundary of Raphe a Creek, the Rnh Union contending that any player residing south of the Tcremakau river, not playing for Kitmara should have the right to play in AA'cst land.
From Hnriliari Club asking that no fixtures of their Club be played on June 21st. as a sports meeting was being held.— Received and held over. From N.Z. Rugby Union in reference to formation of a separate Union. —Received.
From Rimtapu Club protesting against A. Sutherland a senior, playing as a junior.—Received and consideration deferred till next meeting night. Accounts were passed for payment as tabulated. SENIOR COALPETITTON. .Some discussion took place in connection with tlie Senior Cup competition and ultimately Mr Stafford moved that the senior competition consist of three rounds. This was seconded by Air l.cvett and carried.
Application to play Af. Aloviiihaii, on Saturday, was refused, the Chairman ruling against it. Mr Dowell gave notice of motion to alter minute authorising three rounds in senior competition to lour rounds, delegates to obtain tbe views of their C’lubs meanwhile. Air llceltan moved that the Junior Competition for the Aland! Cup. consist of two rounds. Seconded by ATr Stafford and eat t ied. Air Dowell by nothe. moved that no further reclassification be granted after May 2-ltli. Seconded bv Air Stafford and carried.
Air Dowell moved that the Licensed A’icinailers Association he invited to donate a cup for the senior seven-a-side tournament. Seconded by tin* Chairman and carried. 7-A-SIDE TOU RNAAIENT. It was resolved to hold the usual seven-a-sido tournament on Tuesday next. June 3rd on Cass Square. Air Cutbush moved that nominations close on Saturday next-Senior Junior, and third grade competitions. Seconded bv Air Tloennn and carried. OLA'A!PTC FOOTBALL. PARIS. Afay 25. Twenty-two nations are participating in the Olympic Association Football tournament. Britain is the only prominent absentee. To-day's results "ere: Italy beat Spain by 1 to nil.
