DUBLIN CHANOK. LONDON. May 22 Alderman O’Neill, Lord Mayor of Duhlin has been asked by the Free State Government to retain his position and to be chairman of the Commissioners. Tie said, in an interview, that he would he unable to accept as he considered the appointment of the Commissioners unwarranted. The citizens had heen badly treated hv the Government in refusing to allow the holding of the Irish elections.
