SPENCE—PHILLIPS. A pretty wedding was solemnised at the .Methodist Church. Fitzgerald Avenue, Christchurch, on Wednesday, when Florence Annie, daughter of Mr and Mrs Phillips. performed the ceremony. The bride who entered the church on tin l arm of her father, wore a haml- . fime gown of creme satin moroeain with pearl trimmings, and the orthodox wreath and veil arranged in mob cap style. She carried a h.uiquet of white chrysanthemums and hot-lmm-e (lowers. The bridesmaid, Mbs T. Spence, sister of the bridegroom, wore a charming frock of lavendar charmante, caught at each side with n dainty posy, and hat cn suite. She carried a bouquet of chrysanthemums in aultiinn tints.
Mr D. Spence, nephew of the bridegroom was best, man. A reception was nl forwards held at the Winter Garden. .Mrs Phillips wore .' black moroeain coal-lrock, and smart black hat: All's Spence, mother of tie.' bridegroom, wore a black silk dies.*, black moroeain coat and hat to match. Mr and Mrs Spence art* spending their honeymoon in the North Island, the bride travelling in a smart knitted costume of grey, relieved with electric blue.'small hat of grev with blue ..ring, and silver fox fill’s, liegift of the bridegroom.
