KOKATAHI WINTER SHOW

A well-attended meeting of the Koku-lahi-Koiterangi Winter Show Committee was held in the Public Hall. Kokatalii. on Tbuisday night last. Much enthusiasm was shown to again make this popular fixture a great .-uciess, and it is hoped to ecli|se the two past Shows. A very representative Committee ol the district was formed, and it only remains for the Public to support the Committee's .-fl'uits to ensure success, and contiiiu-ime of annual displays of the district's capabilities. mer’s point ol view, the past season has been a most favourable one. so that entries of faim produce and vegetables should he of better quality and more varied than on the past two occasions. This year the Executive have decided to extend the Show over two days, the first day being devoted to arranging exhibits, and judging same, the judging to commence at one o'clock. The Show will then be open to the public at •'! p.m. In the evening some attractions siieli as lectures may be arranged for. The following day tho Show oj'etts early and closes at 3 p.ln.

Previous Shows have shown that visitors are very desirous to buy exhibits. This year they will lie able to purchase exhibits privately throughout Wednesday. taking delivery of same at the close of the Show. After 3 p.nt., all produce and exhibits for sale and unsold, will he cleared by auction. In this connection a large stall is being provided for gifts of produce and goods ,-f a |i kinds donated for tho benefit of the Public Hall building fund. It is to lie hoped that visitors will not only enjoy a very fine display of what the district can produce, hut also have the opportunity of procuring the very best of the many things a fainting community can supply. No doubt a feature of the Show will again lie the competitive Bays or Courts of the two districts, with the chance perhaps of Araliura. or the Southern farming districts coming in and putting the local displays in the slmdo.
