The lin'd stages of the trial of George Morris (who wa.s brought hack from Australia early this year, on the charges of having left the Dominion in possession of money which properly belonged to bis creditors, having concealed and removed ten pounds belonging to an estate, and having incurred debts while in insolvent state. was reached in the Supreme Court to-day. The jury was out for throe hours, and acquitted the accused on all counts, believing. as the foreman announced, that the accused did not know his position until Alav .1 of last year. The date mentioned l>y the jury was three days lie fore Morris left New Zealand. Accused was discharged.
