•’Fruiii Our Correspondent • On the eve of her departure for Christchuich from here. Miss Sclnvebo was made the recipient of a present from the Scholars attending the Goldsborottgh School, in which -In- has been mistress for a period ot two years. Air Stool (Chairman of the School Committee) addressed the children present in terms appropriate for the occasion and called on Miss Winnie Havil! to read an address on behalf of her schoolmates. Mr Eouthnn made the presentation and also eulogised the good work of the teacher, which had been earned cut conscientiously and without fear or favour. Miss Sohweho fee!ingle responded, after which for “She’s a jolly Good Fellow," was sung, and a pleasant function concluded.
