The death took place yesterday morning of Mr Francis D.togau at the home ot Ids aunt, .Mrs .1. L. Doogau, Waitoa Road, Ilaitaitai, Wellington, after a severe attack of bronchial catarrh. Mr Doogan, who was Ihe eldest son of Mr and Mrs 11. F. Doogan, linccletij'h St., Greytuouth. had not been in robust health lor some years, and became seriously ill some weeks ago. The state of his health v.its so low that his mother was summoned to Wellington, and his father followed last Tuesday, arriving barely in time to be with iiis son in his hist hours. The auxiliary schooner Zita, formerly the Aratapu, which has been lying idle at Lyttelton for over a year, is reported to have been sold for the Islands trade, to a North Island man, and on Wednesday placed on. the slip for sighting.
