Addington 'stock market. (By Telegraph.—Special to uuardian.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Messrs 11. Matson and Co., report as follows regarding their stock sale at Addington yards yesterday:— Store sheep.—There was an exceptionally heavy yarding for this time of the year, old and backward ewes forming a large proportion of the entry, and for this class of stall' the market was decidedly easier, hilt for all classes of forward wethers si ml lambs and good conditioned ewes the market was firm. •Rest S.M. i bred owes made 27s to 34s Od, medium 22s Gd to 20s (id. aged and inferior 14s to 225, best forward lambs 21s to 24s Kid, others His Oil to Sfls'Gd, l>est forward wethers to 33s Bd. medium 2Gs Gd to 31s.
Store cattle.—A fair .sized, yarding, again mostly of odd lots and old cows. Xo big cattle were offered and really no quotable line“. Prices were on a par with last week. Pigs—A large entry of porkers came forward and p r ' cos vor< ‘ easier. Raconers were in short supply and values improved. Light porkers made £1 lAs to £2 os. heavy £2 10s to £2 17s, average price Gd to 7,d; light haeoneis £3 os Gil to £4 os, heavy £4 Lis to Co, extra to £-1 Os. average price Gid to 7(1 ; choppers Cl 10s to £G. Store pigs.—A medium entry came forward which showed a slight improvement on last week’s rates. 1 alt.es were: Weancr.- Ps to 18s. small stores los to Bs, medium stores, good 2Gs to Its. large 37s to 14s.
Reef.— Another very heavy yarding, but not so large as la v t 'week. T l'.e finality on the whole showed some improvement. but except for very best quality the market was somewhat easier. Several good lines of station cattle came forward and sold well. Prime steers made £l2 to £l4 los, extra £IG 17s. medium £8 los to £ll 10s, others £A to £8 os, prime heifers CG os to £8 10s. extra to £lO 2s, others £3 los to £G; nrime cows £A os to CS los, extra to £K> os ; others £2 los to £o. Mutton Another very large yarding. including one or two good lines of station wethers. The quality generally was better all round and the sale throughout was a good one. Roth hatchers and exporters were operating keenly. The sale shall continue after dark, and although prices held wonderfully tin' same keeness that was evident in the early stages of the sale was not so apparent in the concluding Stages. Prime wethers made 3Gs Gd to 48s. extra in AGs and ipedium 32s tu 3Gs. others down to 28s. prime ewes 30s to 34s Gd. extra. 3As to 38s Gd, medium 2As Gd to 20s Gd. others down to 17s. Lambs.— A similar yarding to last week, the quality being better. A
