ORIENT LINER AGROUND. BRISBANE. May 15 The Orient Liner Orvieto ran aground last night near the mouth oT Brisbane river. A passing steamer unsuccessfully attempted to tow her off. Two tugs have left to give assistance. The position is not serious. A further attempt will he made this morning. POLICE TROUBLE SETTLED. BRISBANE, May 15. The threatened crisis of the police force has passed, an agreement having been reached. Some claims have been conceded and a satisfactory basis made for a further adjustment.
