At a meeting of the Canterbury Chamber of Commerce on Monday the Westland Chamber of Commerce wrote ■stating that it supported generally the suggestion.-, in regard to immigration. It considered that special consideration should be given to bringing in more youths, who. by local training after arrival, might develop into l etter and more contented citizens than the average immigrant, drawn from congested cities. The Wanganui Chamber wrote heartily endorsing the Canterbury proposals.
