L"Tiiti Twits” Sltlt VlCK.] A COALITION POSSIBLE. LONDON, May 9. The •• Times’ " Berlin correspondent says; The German Nationalists are tardily realising that even they cannot form it government without the cooperation of the other parties. It is clear that they are aiming at a coalition with the Centre and People’s Parties, trusting they may enjoy iho benevolent neutrality of the Democrats on the one hand, and the Freedom Party on the other.
It is a precarious basis upon which to build. .Should the Nationalists conic round to the \ iew that unreserved acceptance of the experts’ report is the only alternative to confusion, the Centre Party will join in. and on no other terms. The benevolent neutrality of the Democrats is not otherwise obtainable. What the Freedom Party will do remains obscure. Popular rumour already credits it with making preparations for a “ putsch."
