id) The Chairman to move:—"That the accounts presented for the month of April, 1924, as now before’the Council, and recommended by the Finance Committee, amounting to i! ; he passed for payment.” (2) The Chairman to move:—"That the report of the Treasurer, as before the Council, on the proposed allocation of estimated revenue for the current year, be now considered and approved and the report adopted." LI) The Chairman ty move:—"That public notice be given of the intention of the Council to make and levy on the Ist July a general rate separately in each Hiding of the County of Westland, of seven farthings in the t! on the capital value el all rateable property, in accordance with sections 121) and 121 of the ( (.unties Act ; such rate to be payable within fourteen days after being struck.”
;I) The Chairman to move:—"That as a further concession to the County ratepayers and pursuant to the provisions of section 3 of the Hating Act Amendment Act, 1922, the Council now resolves h.v resolution to allow to every ratepayer a rehate of 5 per cent cl' so much of the amount of rates payable by him as is paid before the expiration of thirty (lays alter the due let.- thereof, namely on or before 31st July. 1021.” 5. The Chairman to move:—"That the Finance Committee report at next meeting as to the annual allocation of a vote for public libraries in the County, and the several institutions In- requested to supply particulars of i In- financial po-ilion."
