AMATEUR (QUESTION. ICSTH.U.TAN AND N.Z. CADI.E ASSOCIATION. NEW YORK, May 2. Richards, overnight, changed his mind, and addressed a letter to the Tennis Association withdrawing* his resignation (cahied yesterday). The Association promptly announced Richard’s reinstatement in the Davis Clip competition adding that Richards had further expressed hi* willingness tu play the Olympics, provided his employers agree to release him from the obligation of writing sport articles during the period of the Olympic coiupctit ion. It is rumoured here that Anderson lias decided not to join the Australian Davis Cup (caul. The Tennis Association has expressed surprise, and declared that the presence of Anderson would imporve Australia's chances.
