The negotiations between the Minister ol Railways and the Kxceutive of the A.S.R.S. were continued to-day The Fresident (Mr Connelly) and tno General Secretary (Mr M. J. Mack) ol the A.S.R.S., interviewed the Minister of Railways this afternoon, but both parties afterwards stated that, so far there was nothing further to report. MAIN TIU'NK EXPRESS. WELLINGTON, May 1. Very satisfactory progress lias been made by the Railway Department in getting back to the normal running of train servhes. The Minister announced this afternoon that the usual .Main Trunk expresses will commence running to-day. both from Wellington and Auckland, instead of Saturday, which the General Manager at first thought would he the first day on which it would be possible to run them. AUCKLAND, May 1. The main trunk express leaves for Wellington to-morrow on the usual timetable. The goods traffic is not vet normal.
