AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION. SOVIkt ter rohism. LONDON, April 2G. The "Morning Post's” Helsingfors correspondent states that there has been a recrudescence of Soviet terrorism and six hundred intellectuals, including many Bourgcoise, have been expelled from their homes, and exiled to Siberia to make room for Proletarians. RUSSIAN CREDIT.
LONDON, April 2G.
The All Russian Council of Trade Unions, at Moscow, has issued a protest against the British bankers’ memorandum of 13th, April. Declaring that Russia cannot recognise debts of the Tsarist and Kerensky Governlments, which would degrade the Russians to the level of coolies. They state: “If England gives us credits, we shall repay a moderate percentage, hut private property will never he returned to foreign owners pending the decision of negotiations I>etwcen British Ixmkers and private Russian capitalists.” -
The Russian Charge R’Alfaires in London emphasises the fact that this protest must not he regarded as official although it contains some points in accordance with the views of the Govern, incut, and does not represent the policy of the Soviet in other respects. M. Rakowsky states that hitherto the negotiations in London have gone vo well. Goodwill has been shown, and there has been no serious difference of opinion. Ho believes that definite results on some questions will he reached but to conclude agreements as they are arrived .at.
