A COLONEL TO PAY DA-MAGES. CITY OFFICE INCIDENT. LONDON, Feb. 20 Sued in the Mayor's and City of London Court yesterday by .Miss Gladys Evelyn Dickenson, of the (Gauge, NYb.itkirk, Lieut.-Col. James Grimwood, a partner in a firm ol accountants of Colemau-street, E.C., admin.,! ihnt he had squirted kerosene ml nver ihe woman in hi , office. Miss Dickenson, who claimed Tlio for assault and damages, said that the colonel was a friend of her late father. When she called see hint about some papers concerning her lather’s estate he told her to clear nit. adding that if she did not lie would squirt her with paraffin. There were a bucket of paraffin and a syringe outside bis office door. A\ lien she refused to go lie filled Hie syringe with paraffin, placed it at the hack of her neck and squirted. Jle refilled, the syringe and squirted her again, and her clothes were drenched and spoiled. ALLEGED MOLESTATION. Penlying to .Mr !!. I). Ronnie, for Col. Grimwood, Miss Dickenson dinted she had been demanding money from him for years.
