WASHINGTON. April 22 Regarding prohibition, Doctor J.C. Yorbeok. a recognised authority on human metabolism, asserted that the adoption ol prohibition was influenced by the American Medical Society’s resolution of 1917, denying that alcohol possessed any foot! of therapeutic value. He added that the question had been long in dispute, hut if Congress followed the .Medical Society in 1917. it should heed the latter’s resolution of 1922, stating that alcohol, taken in liquors, aids physical and organic functions.
