Pringle hacked to the centre of the ring to avoid Carr’s customary spring off the ropes. Carr, however, bounced to the centre, swung a left hook to the body, Pringle partly countering it with his right, which forced him to leave his chin open and like a flash, Carr shot a right hook, sending Pringle to the hoards for the count.

The big fight was a good clean exhibition of boxing, both hoys doing their best. From the way the fight was' going up to the fifth round, . it was easily seen that it eoukl not go the full distance. Carr has improved a .lot and Millerton should be proud of having a boxer like him in their midst. Pringle fought gamely, meeting his rugged opponent with a stubborn resistance that won for him many friends. Though beaten, he was not disgraced.
