FIRE BRIGADES’ COMPETITION.
The sixth demonstration of csl Coast Fire Brigades took place at Iv.uniara on Saturday under period weather conditions. The results were as follow: Two men coupling—Hokitika B. 4.3 4-5 secs, 1 ; Cobden A, 48 4-5, 2: Westport A, 49 2-5 3; Greymouth H 19 4-5, I. Three men hydrant—Greymouth B. 36 secs. I Dcnniston A, 36 3-5. 2; Cobden A, 33 3-5, 3; Greymoutb A, 35 3-5. Rescue event Kumnra, 54 1-osecs.. I ; Greymouih, 33. 2; Westport, 35 3-5. Five men reel and ladder- Kuniaro 77sees., 1; Cobden. 82 2-5, 2; Grcyinoutli, 84 4-5, S; Denniston, 104 L Five men curry—'Grey mouth -II 3-5 secs.. 1; Cobden 42 2-5, 2: Westport 43 1-5, 3: Hokitika. •!.
