THOUGHTS FOR THE TIMES.
Takk Notice. To ho as bright and good-tempered and genial as possible is ns much every man’s obligation as is tbo leading of n blind man across tbo street. We are all of ns born with lamps of happiness to shine in the dark corners of the world. Some men may possess the thousand candle-power electric bulb, otlicis only the farthing dip; but even, tbo merchant with tbe dip lias no right because lie says “I have only been given tallow." to take his bundle of long lights and lock them up in tbo deedbox of his bank. If all the. lamps of happiness were lit in the world it would be a place of everlasting day. It is because half of us don’t trouble to ignite, our torches that there is ever a night time.
