SIX RIVALS.
OiiV Jl 1- V AVW. LONDON,. February 21. Glasgow police had to'be called to a dance hall in the Particle division of Glasgow late on Saturday night to deal with a disturbance which arose through rivalry between six young men who wished to dance with an attractive youn woman. The rivals, it appears, surrounded, the girl and pressed their attentions upon her. Eventually she selected one of them, but before the couple had reached the floor, the hall was in an uproar and fighting ensued. The management telephoned for police, who, upon arrival, quickly cleared the hall. Outside, however, the dancers renewed the fighting, and reinforcements of police had to be summoned. The young man who had been favoured by' the girl was attacked, and the young woman, in an attempt to defend him, was knocked down. The police later, restored order.
