It is seldom that Hokitika music lovers have the opportunity to hear artists of the front rank, more especially vocalists, so that the visit of .Madame Gower-Burns, the finest soprano in the Dominion, and her talented'concert party is one bound to he availed of by the public very large-. Iv. Ala,dame Gower-Burns has long had an established reputation as a vocalist, and an exponent of the singing art, so that to hear her is virtually an education in itself. She has the distinction of having sung by Royal command, and on every platform in New Zealand, where she has been heard her fame has been lasting. She has arranged a brilliant programme for her Hokitika visit, the numbers being of a wide range and all of the best—suited to imv audience. The other musicians in the Company arc Air Rcnnell, a brilliant baritone, Air H. Prescott, a tenor famed oil the Coast; Air Arthur Gordon, the wellknown violinist, and Airs ,T. S. Russell, an accomplished pianiste. The Company are only able to give one concert here, on Saturday evening, owing to their Christchurch engagements. The prices are 3s and 2s plus tax; reserves 4s.
