There was no quorum at Wellington when it met-the ether night. Therefore, its winding up was suggested. • , , i The Chairman (Mr Davies) said that their rrL union had gone too far. Mrs Driscoll (Sydney) had offered to chaperone Miss Gwintha Sham!. The Auckland Boxing Association would send a representative, but it was not possible to send' a rowing team. It was decided to continue the art union, hr suggested, but the Dominion must raise the money within ten days. „r it v ould be impossible to send Miss Sliaiul. ... The Council have found it .impossible to raise £l.Bfk> to send ail Olympic team. The Chairman said he had never hoen connected with such a hodt as this, in all his life, and hoped he never would lie again.
