He intended mai tying the winonn. i lie Magistrate said defendant was really iii the position of a married man with obligations, and no order could be made. CLOTHING TRADE AWARD. WELLINGTON. April IE A complete settlement was effected before the Conciliation Council in the Dominion clothing trade dispute, mainly along the lines of the present award. The clauses relating to hours and classification of workers are to remain as at present. The term of tailoressos’ apprenticeships has been altered To three years’ apprenticeship and one year's improvership. No deduction is to be made from female apprentices' wages except for time lost through sickness or default. Tbe journey'’-omen's minimum. wage is fixed at £2 Is; secondclass chart cutters £! 7s (Id; stock cutlers L'l -Is; male machinists £1 Is; oils lid per hour; male machinists £1 -Is; pressers and oilers £1 Is: or Is lid per hour. The term of the agreement is twelve months.
