The “Vossiche Zeitung” reflecting middle class opinion, after stating that Germany with an earlier display of goodwill might have secured better terms and less onerous control conditions, nevertheless concludes: “The experts present scheme cannot simply be ingored, since the final aim of all reparation payments is liberation of Germany from foreign, political economic dominion. The scheme must he made the basis for earnest discussion.
The “Krents Zeitung’’ representing the extreme Conservatives, condemns the heavy burden the scheme places upon German industry, and ridicules the opinion of the experts regarding Germany’s future prosperity.
The! Socialist “Vorwaert.s” recommends the acceptance of the scheme as the best Germany is li kelv to get.
