HOURS QUESTION. WELLINGTON, April 10. Regarding the (interpretations of awards filed' by the Arbitration Court, a question was raised by the Seamen’s anil Firemen’s Union concerning the hours of seamen acting as niglitwatchmen in port as to whether when the full eight hours off is not given in compensation, the balance of the time off can be paid for at Is 6il per hour, or whether the full amount of 14s is payable in addition to time off. The Court answered that the men must' get either eight hours off or cash payment of 14s. The payment of Is 6d per hour related only to day watchmen.
