The first dual i ole of her career as a star is the double portion of Alice Lake in her latest picture for Metro, a Dallas Fitzgerald production of A\ r . Carey . AVouflerly story, “The Infamous Miss licvcll”. The two characters Miss Lake enacts arc those of Paula and Julien Rcvell. They are in the story, sisters; the one a violinist and the other a pianist, who have made a success on the stage. When their mother dies they are forced to abandon their professional careers to look after the family. 'Then Julien dies, soon after a wealthy friend ha left her a bequest and Paula poses as the beneficiary of the will in order to have the money to care for the children. Paula’s fight to keep her identity hidden. her final exposure and its result? constitute "a most unusual story. In support of Miss Lake in “The Infamous Aliss He veil” is a cast embracing such prominent players as Cullen Landis, Jackie Saunders, Lydia. Knott, Stanley Gcethnls, Francis Carpenter; May Graci, Geraldine Condon, Herbert Standing and Alfred Hollingsworth. Arthur J. Zellner adapted the photoplay from the story in the Pictorial Review. The photographer is It. H. KlafFki, Joseph Colder was art director. The third episode of the thrilling serial “The Timber Queen” will lie screened together with a comedy and gazette.
