HOKITIKA v. GREY,
five links from the Hokitika Club (including a rink of colts) journeyed to Grcyniouth on Saturday afternoon to play a game for the Reynolds Badges, held by Grcyniouth. The day' proved fine and rearm after a wet night, but the green was in capital order-. The game ended in a win for Hokitika by 23 points and the team skipped by Mr Stevenson secured the trophies. Afternoon tea was supplied by the lady supporters and was fully appreciated. At the conclusion of the play Mr J. Steer (President) congratulated the team on its success and handed over the Badges. ’ Mr Blank (Vice-President) replied on behalf of Hokitika and hearty cheers were given for each Club, and the ladies. In the Colts game Hokitika scored an eight in one head, while in the game against Himanga, Sharp (Grey) scored a seven on the last head.
