Ti.o total revenue collected by. tlie Stamp Duties Department, ‘Westland for the financial year ending 31st. March 1924, is as follows: Stamp and Death Duties £22,193 fi 7 Amusement Tax £1,179 17 A It is interesting to note that ten years ago the total revenue for the financial year ending 31st., March, 1914 was only £6,031 «2s oil. The marked increase in revenue is no doubt due partly-to the rising prosperity of the province.
