Like the fusel oil in bad whisky so the nicotine in strong tobaceo is injurious to health. It is an astonishing fact that the leaf produced in certain localities of the Auckland and Nelson districts contains less nicotine than any other tobacco known. This is of the utmost importance with regard to the deveopnient of the N.Z. Tobacco Industry, because it is just these three mild types of leaf that are eagerly sought after by many manufacturers abroad, and fabulous prices'are often paid for them. New Zealand indeed will become famous for its unique tobacco and the local product will be our national smoko. Unlike some of the foreign tobaccos, the N.Z. article docs not bite the tongue. - It. smokes smooth and mellow and loaves the mouth sweet and clean. Moreover it is all pure tobacco with a distinctive flavour, obtainable in various strengths. Cut Plug No 10 for those who appreciate a- full body, and Itiverllead Gold for the lover of a very mild aromatic, while Toasted Navy Cut represents the medium strength.—Advt.
