IX EXGLISH SOCIETY. LOXDOX. April 1. There are persistent reports that the Earl of Dudley is engaged to marry Gertis Millar, the famous musical comedy actress of Gaiety Theatre renown, widow of the late Lionel Monckton.

So tar there lias been no denial, and the “Daily Chronicle” states that they are to he married in Paris in April. [The Earl of Dudley, who is 50 years old, has been a widower since 1920. He has been Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland and also Governor-General of Australia Lionel Moiickton, composer and musical critic, died a few months ago.]
