TOM MIX—WEDNESDAY. The fun becomes fast and furious, and the rod; hiding “Sudden” is blown up by dynamite. “Sudden” is wounded. Eventually the sheriff sets the forest on lire and “Sudden” manages to rescue his sweetheart by a matter of seconds. See Tony, the almost- human horse, untie knots like a man. A big supporting series will also be shown. On Thursday a special Thus. JJ. ineo production, featuring Douglas .Via-,Lean and Madge Bellamy in the big racing story entitled “The Hottentot” will bo shown for one night only'. This is one ol the most successful adaptions from tho original stage versions that has never been attempted. The story lias lor its central ligure a youth, played by Douglas Maclean, who lias a mortal fear of horses. Through the merest chance, however, he is the means ol rescuing a beautiful young girl from death through ilie bolting of a thoroughbred. He is proclaimed a hero, and is mistaken for a famous jockey bearing the same name as his own. Complications arise when he is asked to ride the Hottentot, a- fiery steeplechaser, iu the big race. The climax oi the story forces him to the saddle, and he wins the big race and more. A good supporting programme will also be shown, with the latest orchestra! selections.
