A RUGBY CRITIC

(“Sydney Sun” Cables)

(Received this day at 9-45 a.m.) LONDON, March 30. A correspondent of the newspaper ‘Observer” who has seen the Rugby

game played in New Zealand, South Africa, Now South Wales, England, Scotland and France, during the past two seasons, expresses the opinion that despite England’s great improvement the All Blacks will just beat England next season. He says the New Zealand forwards will holt! their own against Wakefield men, while the backs made better use of their chances than England’s opponents have done this season. The English inside backs will tie superior to New Zealand, but with a vigorous set of forwards to contend with they will be up against t'no hardest proposition of their careers. II they emerge triumphant “great” will be an inadequate word to describe them.
