Tile “Daily Mail’s” Moscow correspondent states that a peasant has assinated the Bolshevik Leader Davidoff, splitting his head open. Davidoff had been sent to investigate atrocities as it bad been .alleged that the secret police were executing hundreds of peasants for resisting the tax collectors. Davidoff approved of the police and was leaving a meeting when he was killed by a peasant whose father the police had executed. AUSTRALIAN LOANS. LONDON, March 28. THE BRADFORD MURDER
LONDON, March 27. In connection with the Bradford murder the police evidence showed that . three one pouncf' notes were found at Wardwells house belonging to the same series as those in Mrs Reisey’s house, also letters in a hand writing similar to that on the note found on the Normans door. INQUEST ON MRS PHTLBRICK LONDON, March 27. The “Daily Express’s” Rome correspondent states the inquest on Evelyn.., Philbrick, who was shot by a sentry, ' was held in secret and only the result ■ of the post mortem have been published. This revealed upwards of thirty bullet wounds the majority being in the back, which contradicts the sentry’s statement that he fired two shots only. Mrs Philbrick was the daughter of an English judge and formerly appeared op the stage,
