DAIRY PRODUCE. Butter.—The market is not improving and the demand is not reviving ■with the lower prices. Official quotations are:— New Zealand—Salted, finest 16-Ss to 170 s per cwt. (Is 6d to is (Rd per lb) -. exceptional 172 s per ovt. (Is 6 1 ,tl petlb) ; unsalied 170 s to 174 s per cut. Is 61 d to Is 61(1 per lb) ; other qualities 140 sto 166 s per cwt. (Is 3d to Is ;5Jd per lb). Australian—Salted, finest 150 s to 160 s per cwt. (Is 4-Jd to Is old per lb)"; unsalted 158 s to 100 a per ovt. (Is 5d to Is 5Jd per lb) ; exceptional 162 s per cwt. (Is OJd per lb) ; other qualities, salted and unsalted 120 s to 150 s per cwt (Is id to Is 4RI per lb). Argentine—l4l9s to 144 s per cwt. (Is 3d to Is 3id per lb); exceptional 146 s per cut. (Is 3Jd per lb); other qnantaties 120 sto 138 s per cwt. (Is Id to Is 2Jd per lb). Danish—The market is very slow: 200 s to 204 s per cwt (Is D]d to is Did per lb). Cheese—There is fair business, hut tiie market is quiet and has -t tendency to weaken. English is quiet hut firm. Nc-.v Zealand is in moderate request. Official quotations arc: English—Finest farmers’ 140 s to 146 s per cwt. (Is 3d to Is 3Jd per lb). Netv Zealand—Coloured 82s to 81* per cwt. (BJ<l to !)d per lb); white 82s to 83s per cwt. (S.Jd per lb) ; oxceptionla 84s per cwt. (9d per lb). Shipments of New Zealand produce arrived this week per s.s. Fort 5 ivtor. Rotorua and Mamari. HEMP. The Manila market opened steady but with more inquiries; values have improved. “J” grade March-May and April-Juno shipments sold Dim £3B to £3B T)s per ton. Sales of Now Zealand high points arc reported in ApriiJune shipments at £36, but otherwise prices are unchanged. WOOL. The sales continue and oiferings are readily absorbed by Home and foreign buyers, with a slight rise in prices nil round. FRUIT. The demand continues and prices are considered good. Newton I’ippiu apples 15s 6d to 19s per case ; Stayman s Winesap 12s to 15s per case; Spitzenberg 1 Is 6d to 16s Gil per ease. HONEY. - The Continental demand is good and all grades under s<ls per cwt. have licon" cleared. Light Anther grades brought lowest prices. Present quotations are :—New Zealand 55s to 85s per cwt., Californian 55s to ids per cwt., Jainaeian s()s to 65s per cwt. Cuban 50s to 60s per cwt. Hawaiian 47s Gd to 60s per c-ivt.
