ADDINGTON STOCK MARKET. (By Telegraph.—Special to Guardian.). CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Messrs H. Matson and Co., report as follows regarding their stock sale at Addington yards yesterday:— There was another very large yarding, again mostly ewes, and the majority of these were of indifferent sorts, the general bulk being aged and inferior. A lair proportion of the entry were from overseas and-travelled. There was not a great number of lambs in, but anything good sold well. Wethers were in small number, but sold very well taking the market all round and considering the very large proportion of old ewes the sale must be considered a good one although hardly as keen as the last sale. Best 2 tooth Jbrcil ewes 30s to 355, best J-brctl ewes to 50s, best 4. 0 and 8-tooth cross-bred ewes 26s to 325, others 20s to 25sfid, aged and inferior 1-fs to 19s fid, best 4-ljreel ditto to 375; best lambs 20s fid to 24s lOd, medium lfis to 20s, others down to 10s 6d; best wethers 25s fid to 28s 9d, extra good to 32s 3d, others 18s fid to 255.

Fat Rigs.—A large entry came forward and both porkers and baconers were easier. Values were : —Lt. porkers 38s to 455; heavy 50s to £3, average price fid to 7d; lt. baconers £3 5s to £3 15s, heavy' £4 to £4 10s, extra haw to £5, average price 6d to Til;

choppers £2 to 575. Store pigs—A large entry came forward and the demand for weaners was very slack. Large stores sold at late rates. Values were, weaners 3s to 10s extra to 15s, small stores His to 20s, medum 25s to 30s, large up to £2 12s Cd.

Store Cattle.—A fair number were yarded, but, as usual, the yarding was mostly of old cows and non-descript lots. Practically no stable lines were offered. The demand was similar to last week.

Beef—A very large yarding and quality all round was the best we have seen for some time. There were too many in for butchers’ requirements and consequently the market was considerably easier, although it hardened somewhat before the end. Prices on an average would ho about 2;>s per head cheaper than last sale. Prime steers made £ll to £l4 10s, extra to £lB 12s (id, medium £9 to £lO 15s, others down to £5 10s, prime heifers £7 to £9 ss, extra £lO 17s 6d. others £4 to £6 10s, prime cows £(i to £8 10s. extra £ll os, others £2 10s to £5 10s. Mutton.—A much smaller yarding and although the bulk were again ewes there were several real good lines of wethers offered and the quality all round was decidedly better. I lie market-. if anything was again firmer and freezing buyers were able only to get a small proportion of the 'yarding. Prime wethers made 32s fill to 3Gs fid, extra to 42s Oil. medium ditto 2Ss fid to 325, others down to 25s fid. prime ewes 2Gs to 31s, extra to 395, medium 23s to 25s fid, others 15s to 22s fid. Lambs—A small yarding, the quality being very in and out. It was a good sale although the overall price is quoted jd per lh. easier this week. This drop was not evidenced in to-day’s sale, and in our opinion tho sale showed little if any difference from last week, the overall prices for prime being 1 Oil to lOpl, overweights and seconds 9d to 9Jd.
