Bishop, of the Employers Federation leaves for the West Coast to meet representatives of the West Coast Coalminers’ Union for the purpose of conferring on the demands which they have made, with a view to securing a working agreement between them and the mine owners. At the inquest on the body of Mrs Raymond Wedde, found in the Picton harbour, a verdict of found drowned was returned, there being no evidence to show how she came to be in tho water.
