AIIAII ITKA KAYE SALE. A special sale of breeding ewes was held at the Arahurn Yards to-day by A fosses \V. Jeffries and Co. when some 8!):,' cross-bred ewes from the Nelson Province were submitted to a very representative attendance of buyers, who accorded keen competition for all the lots, a total clearing being made at prices which must be considered most sat isfaclry. The ewes were all crossbred of various ages, and notwithstanding their much travelled condition were penned in very fair order. Two-tooth ewes which were slightly on the. small side made up to 20s (id. Four tooth ewes to 3As Oil, 0 tooth ewes to 30s, sound mouth ewes to 26s 3d. and f. and f.m. ewes to 21s (Id. The following sales were recorded: — 71 s.iu. ewes at 2<is 3d, 45 ditto at 265, 48 ditto at 26s 3d. 71 ditto at 28s 3d, 36 ditto at 28s, 135 four and six-tooth ewes at 30s. 45 ditto at 30s 0:1, 33 ditto at 30s (id. 40 2-tooth 24s 3d, -15 ditto ut 21s 6d. 43 ditto at 24s Cd, 31. ditto at 2-1 s 3d, 6!) f. and f.m. ewes at 20s (id, 72 ditto at 21s Gil. 1 aged B.L. ham at £2 7s Gd, I ditto at £8 Bs, 3 one shear Romney rams at £6 Os. A fair percentage of the above ewes went to Wataroa buyers, while several pans went up the Reeltou line, Koiterangi and Kokntalii.
