4UBTRALIAN AND N.Z. CAULK ASSOCIATION. LONDON, March 22 At the Queen’s Club inter-'Varsity sports Oxford and Cambridge tied, with 5) events each. Five Australasians competed. Porrit (of AA anganui) for Oxford, was beaten by a couple of feet in the hundred yards bv Harrison in 10 1-5 secs.
N.S.W. CHAMPIONSHIPS. SYDNEY, March 22. For the New South Wales track championships, the going was a bit heavy, owing to overnight rain. Hie events- wore well contested, but no records were broken. W. Hunt won the hundred yards in 10 3-10 seconds. F. Payne, defeated Reid, holder of the javelin championship, covering lot feet 8 inches. S. Grandemange secured the mile honours in 4mins 39 4-5 secs. Austen and Honour, the Olympic representatives were successful in the three mile walk and broad jump, respectively.
