SHORTER SKIRTS. LONDON, Jan. 23. Shorter skirts for evening wear are becoming fashionable in London. Frocks two or three inches short c than the ankle-length dress which has been the vogue lately are particularly popular for dancing wear. They are more convenient but at present there is no indication that the very short skirts of a few years ago will return to popularity. The shorter skirts for evening wear are also being seen in Paris and on the Riverina. The fashion is one which will generally he welcomed by women.
