ADDINGTON STOCK MARKET. (By Telegraph — Special to Guardian,* CHRISTCHUKCH, This Day. Messrs 11. Matson and Co., report as follows regarding their stock sale at Addington yards yesterday:— There was a very large yarding, again mostly of ewes, including many from tlu: North Island. The market opened up very spasmodically, hut improved as it progressed and taken all round the sale must he regarded as an excellent one, practically the whole yarding being cleared. Not many wethers or lambs were yarded. Best 2-tooth ewes made to 375, a few extra to 47s 3d. medium ditto 2fis fid to 3fs, S.M. bred eyes best 27s fid to 335, lower condition and inferior 21s fid to 275, others down to 14s for best lambs. Store sheep made 22s to 24s 3d, medium Ids fid to 2ls fid, others 13s fid to Ills, inferior and small 9s fid to 13s, best 3-4 owe lambs up to 2.35, best wethers 23s to 28s, others 18s fid to 22s Cd. Store cattle.—A fair yarding, but nearly all of nondescript lots and mostly cows. There were no decent lines yarded and no quotable change from last week. Three year steers made to £3 Bs, 2 years ditto £2 to £2 us, yearlings 10s to 255, yearling lieifens 15s to 255, cows 10s to £2 15s. Store pigs.—A medium entry came forward, which met with a slack demand. Values were weaners 12s to 15s, extra to JBs. small store 19s to 21s, medium 25s to 325, large up fo C2 8s; sows in pig £3 to £1 ss. Fat pigs.—There was a small entry of haconers. the demand being keen. Porkers were in over-supply and prices receded. Values were: Light porkers £2 3s to £2 10s, heavy £2 15s to £3 4s, average price 7d to 8d: light haconers £3 15s to £4 ss, heavy £4 10s to £5, extra to £5 ss, average price 6sd to 7Ad; choppers £2 10s to £5 11s.

Beef.—A smaller yarding than last week, about 390 being yarded as compared with 59fi last week. The quality generally showed a decided improvement and the market generally was much firmer. For light and inferior, however, there was not much change. Prime steers made £l3 to £ls, extra to £2O, medium £9 10s to £l2 15s ; others down to £6 15s ; prime heifer.s £7 to £9 os, others £3 15s to £6 10s; prime cows £6 10s to £9. extra to Cll 12s fid, others £3 10s to £6 ss. Mutton.—A medium yarding, being about the same as last week and again mostly of ewes. The quality was generally better than has been the case for the last few weeks and prices were considerably firmer, both butchers and freezers operating freely. In our opinion the rise .was from Is to 2s per bead all round. Prime wethers 33s to 38s. extra to 455. medium 29s fid to 32s fid, others down to 26s Gd ; prime ewes 20s to 30s, extra to 33s Cd, special to 35s lOd, medium to 25s Gd. light-’2os to 22s fid. others down to 16s fid.

Lambs.—A very small enfry, the market being keen. The overall prfee was 10Jd to 10}d.
