AMATEUR ATHLETICS CHAMPIONSHIP RULES. DUNEDIN, March 17. A conference of delegates to the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association was held on Saturday. It' was resolved to recommend that the 1925 championships should be held in Auckland. Other recommendations carried were: That a one and a three-mile cycle championship should be included on the New Zealand championships programme; that points so gained count for the shield; that a 100yds ladies’ championship be included in the programme. and that points count for tho shield. In both cases Canterbury objected to points counting for the shield. Ihat junior championship events, compiling 100yds or 220yds, l;c included in the championship programme, competitors to be over 10 years and under IS years on January Ist of the year in which tho championship is held, points to count for the shield. That New Zealand championship meetings be compulsory two-day meetings. That a competitor from any other centic or any other country be entitled to compete in the provincial championships, but that points for the challenge shield be allotted as if lie were not a competitor; also in the event ni Ins winning the race he shall not ho recorded as the winner of the championship, nor he entitled to receive a certificate or trophy awarded to a champion conferred as if he had not been a competitor.
That a challenge trophy, to he called tile “Of. I’. Keddell Memorial.” be allotted to the winner of the 120yds Now Zealand championship hurdles.
That there he a limit of three men from any province in any championship event.
